The Bernina Pass at 2,330m is the highest alpine crossing between Switzerland and Italy in Graubünden, flanked by dramatic glaciers and the famous Lago Bianco reservoir at the summit. The UNESCO World Heritage Rhaetian Railway also crosses here, sharing the same high alpine corridor.
