The San Bernardino Pass at 2,065m provides an important crossing of the Lepontine Alps between the Rhine valley and the Po plain via the Misox (Mesolcina) valley. The wide, well-maintained road offers pleasant riding through typical Graubünden landscape, with the long Mesolcina gorge descent being particularly enjoyable.
