Milan Kunický na Stelvio Pass

⛰ The man behind EuroPassRiders

Hi, I'm Milan Kunický

I'm a passionate motorcyclist from the Czech Republic with 5 years of riding experience. Every summer, I pack my Triumph and head to the Alps — chasing hairpin bends, mountain summits, and the kind of freedom you can only find on two wheels.

Riding passes is my obsession. From the Czech mountains where I started, to the legendary cols of the Alps — every season I try to add new ones to my list.

Why EuroPassRiders?

It started simply — I wanted a good resource for planning my alpine trips. A place where I could find the passes, check if they're open, see the difficulty, and get a feel for what to expect. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to build it myself.

"Every pass has its own character. The Stelvio is a theatre, the Galibier is a cathedral, and the quiet Austrian passes are like conversations with old friends."

EuroPassRiders started as a personal database and grew into something bigger. Today it covers over 200 passes across the Alps, Pyrenees, Dolomites, Scandinavia, and beyond — with GPS coordinates, difficulty ratings, seasonal information, and community photos.

The project is still growing. My wife sometimes joins me on the longer trips, and her perspective — "is this road actually rideable?" — keeps me honest about the difficulty ratings. We ride together on weekends, and every year we plan one big adventure with 20+ passes.

If you find a mistake, know a pass I've missed, or just want to share your experience — I'd love to hear from you.
