At 2,645m, the Col du Galibier is one of the great climbs of the Tour de France and a pilgrimage route for cyclists and motorcyclists alike. The road links Valloire with Briançon through dramatic high-alpine scenery, with sweeping views of the Écrins massif and often snow banks well into summer.
